Project: Invitation to the 20th anniversary gala for International Medical Corps (IMC).
Concept: IMC wanted to convey their focus on individuals in vulnerable communities becoming self-reliant, so we focused on the idea of independence.
Solution: Of the photos IMC provided from their visits to the field offices, the expression of this young mother was very compelling, so we focused on her, in particular, as an example of someone who is in the process of becoming self-reliant. The treatment of the photo illustrates that while her situation is common, she is an empowered individual.
